In a context of increasing shareholder activism in Canada, this case the hypothesis that, compared to their male counterparts, women are more likely to assign champions difficult questions is examined. Interviews with five counselors provide an overview of each of the Boards battles. By adopting their stories detail the conditions to encourage their advocacy efforts and the way how to engage their fellow directors are presented with the opportunity to identify commonalities and differences between them. The details of the final results are not presented in the case to encourage students to reflect extreme potential. Actual results are presented in education note.
