Walmart has decided to expand in Africa through the acquisition of consumer goods retailer Massmart in South Africa. For this, the world’s largest retailer faces great game the largest union in South Africa. The company must also face the price-sensitive consumers and lack of supplier relations in Africa. Walmart will appeal to consumers in South Africa and reach the sales volume needed to make its first African presence a success.
