The case remains in the selection and implementation of economic policy in Vietnam since the end of the Vietnam War to Doi Moi economic reforms and economic transformation that followed. Throughout this period, the country became the darling of the international aid community. As the country prepares for the Congress party in 2011, however, signs of growing economic frictions were increasingly visible. The case ends with the staging for the challenges of the new direction is going to face.
