As a dynamic global economic environment is forcing organizations to be agile and adaptable, international trade (IB) education pedagogy tour. Based on previous literature describing the gaps in the IB pedagogy and the needs of stakeholders without direction, we use first our institution the Academy of the Air Force of the United States, as an example of program development IB. By examining the evolution of our program, we developed five questions that can provide insight on trends more generalized IB education. To assess the generalizability, issues related to the development of our program with self-report, public access web sites in top MBA programs full time in the United States are explored. Our questions concern the role of foreign languages, study abroad, integration courses, Capstone / thesis projects, and faculty development. Our exploration indicates that these five questions are important not only for educators in developing future programs, but also for students to examine potential IB. In addition, our research focuses on the sixth question concerns the development of programs for the position and differentiation of competition in IB. We hope to motivate further research on the pedagogy of IB, which could inform more effective means to improve IB education.
