Sykue Bioenergya Case Solution

Sykue Bioenergya (Sykue) was established in April 2006 to build four 30 megawatt (MW) plant bioenergy in the province of Bahia, Brazil, 1500 km north of Sao Paulo. Conditions were perfect savannah Bahia grass for growing biomass elephant with a potential to generate substantial energy. In November 2010, the first factory was in line and power purchase agreements (PPA) was signed by 27 MW to 30 MW. Despite this success, however, the four years between design and implementation? This case taught in HBS Executive Education Global Agribusiness and energy training seminars for leaders. The case is also appropriate for the organization block matching of the early years of the MBA course Leadership and organizational behavior, and the second year MBA at the discretion of innovation and management of large energy companies.
