Steve Parker and the GFS-China Technologies Venture (A) (B) (C) and (D) Case Solution

GFS-China is a joint venture between Standard Industries (Standard) of the United States and Good Fortune Enterprises (Good Fortune) of China. The joint venture was formed to manufacture various parts of heating, ventilation and air conditioning for cars. Two weeks after GFS-China began operation, President of the good fortune he stopped the joint venture and does not allow the joint venture general manager at the plant. The President of Good Fortune, wrote a letter to the required standard and that the head of the joint company to replace. After several meetings and communications between the partners, it was decided that a new CEO would be named and the CEO comes Standard. Steve Parker, a manager level it was in China working as Purchasing Director Asia Pacific for standard CVC, asked if he would be interim CEO of GFS-China. It is now up to Parker to decide whether to accept the position, and if so, what to do to get the joint venture on the track.
