In the current environment, examples of work that is both complex and risky time abound perform engineering and great disaster response management of construction projects and high impact providing care in the battlefield are some examples. This type of work requires several knowledge areas and often involves multiple organizations. The teams involved in high risk issues of the working face, in financial, legal and reputational terms – and therefore, the role of trust in these contexts is essential. The authors define “trust at risk” and the particular challenges it poses. Following its investigations and the three elements of trust they identified risky, and the four factors that leaders can embrace facilitate trust in an environment of risk are described.
