Renault-Nissan Alliance (RNA) laid foundation of four overlap jobs in four vital functions (human resources, manufacturing and logistics, buying, and research and development).
The undertakings demanded Nissan, Renault and the two independent things, to improve cooperation and integration to reinforce economies of scale, so that you can better compete internationally in both developed and emerging markets, and therefore reduce prices. But as the degree raised and opened possibilities for encouraging new partners, it also raised resources and the time needed to reach joint tactical conclusions between both firms.
RNA had many tough choices to make moving forward – not least of which included finding an ultimate replacement for the coalition’s 61-year old chief executive officer. Caroline Palecki is affiliated with Nagoya University of Commerce & Business.
