Radio One Inc. Case Solution & Answer

Radio One (NYSE: ROIA and RIOAK), the largest radio group led African Americans in the country, had the opportunity to acquire the 12 urban stations in 50 markets Clear Channel Communications, Inc. (NYSE: CCU) in winter 2000. The stations were sold to Clear Channel Communications, Inc. for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for approval of the acquisition of AMFM, Inc. (NYSE: AFM). Radio One also negotiate the acquisition of nine stations in Charlotte, North Carolina, Augusta, Georgia, and Indianapolis, Indiana. Acquisitions proposed doubling the size of Radio One The case focuses on the strategic and financial assessment of the proposed acquisition.
