An associate of the Student Admissions Committee was requested to provide suggestions on the best way to enhance the admissions procedure. In assessing operations supported by his interest, before offering any recommendations he sets out to completely define the method and its perceived shortcomings. He demonstrates the stream of the procedure using a Procedural Flowchart Map. To briefly provide details about the prepositions of clients (customers) and the related behaviours built-in to the procedure, he uses the SIPOC Lean-Six Sigma tool (Providers-Inputs-Process-Output Signals-Customers).
