This article adds to the research and development (R & D) and knowledge management literature to provide new insights into how best to manage the development of new innovative products and services. This process is still widely recognized as problematic and ineffective. Fundamental in the process of developing new products and services is that new knowledge must be developed, maintained and applied to spectrum D marketing all R +. While much of the knowledge is often created, they also lost both speech and through projects through the many different stages of this process. The prevailing idea is that the technology of information systems reduces the loss of knowledge, but the current solutions do not meet, leaving gaps or chasms that knowledge is lost or translated into a form that you distribute or redirects the initial goal. Through a survey of 146 companies, five key areas of loss of knowledge and management capabilities climax to remedy this problem are identified. Finally, we propose and explain a model of content management for R & D as part of a new solution.
