The case focuses on human resource practices in Singhania and Partners, one of the largest national law firms in India full service. People are at the center of the heart of the service industry and it is imperative that service organizations have systems to attract and retain talent. The legal services industry in India is booming since the economy began to be liberalized in the early 1990s. The exponential growth of this industry has been accompanied by an acute shortage of talent. In fact, the same ability to recruit and retain talent becomes a source of competitive advantage. Mr. Ravi Singhania (Associate Director) in conversation with Ms. Manju Mohotra (CEO), assesses the current human resources practices of the company and is concerned about whether the company faces the risk of human resources.
