The goal of the grant was to review to what point market-based approach may aid hasten the widespread implementation and sustained practice of home water treatment and safe storage products by low income people. Over the course of the grant, about 10 aviators were run by AVENUE in four states. In the process, the Safe Water Project team amassed significant insights associated with user-focused design, accessibility, and affordability (see OIT 107, OIT 108, and OIT 109 for special lessons in every one of these three places). TRAIL also amassed several significant general lessons about planning and carrying out pilot projects, which are enlarged upon in the instance.
