Palm (C): 2005 Case Solution & Answer

This case series focuses on three major turning points in the history of Palma in relation to decisions on your platform: when the company requested the ability to open your operating system (OS) licensing of third-party hardware manufacturers , 2001, when the company was deciding whether to split into two separate companies, and 2005, when the company was migrating from its own Linux operating system. (The last part, established in 2008, is an epilogue). As for the decision on the Palm platform over time, students are invited to consider how decisions affect innovation Palm, competitiveness, value creation and value capture.
