Note on the Impact of Industry and Firm Factors on Firm Profitability: An Analysis of the Fortune 1000 from 1996-2004 Case Solution & Answer

Based on previous research, this paper presents the results of a study of companies in the Fortune 1000 1996-2004 are analyzed. The note of these studies maintained by the introduction of the most recent data from around the industry and the analysis is extended to include a discussion of how profitability within and between sectors and can vary over time, and the consequences of this phenomenon . The note also indicates the impact of competition, in particular, the level of concentration of a given among the top corporate profitability in the industry. The profitability of the study uses three parameters: the return on equity (ROE), return on sales (ROS) and return on assets (ROA) to compare the companies in the Fortune 1000 list to discover the main conclusions.
