New Challenges for Corporate Governance Case Solution & Answer

According to the author, we are in the middle of a tectonic movement in the financial world that the real world shakes dramatically plates. The purpose of this article is not to analyze the causes or the longevity of the 2008-2009 financial crisis, but the curiosity to explore the world of publicly traded companies, the boards once again, let the company down. Complicating matters is the fact that, as a rebalancing of the role of directors took shape after the Sarbanes Oxley Act, reforms in the areas of risk management and remuneration again will test the effectiveness of directors . While boards never be able to predict the future, the author argues that can become the most effective tools to help management strategies and viable legacy plausible if three simple things: taking care of their own programs to effectively manage their time against three time horizons (past, present and future), and evaluate their performance with best practices.
