National Economic Accounting: Past Present and Future Case Solution & Answer

Presents the fundamentals of GDP accounting (including definitions, etc.), examines the history of the national accounts and surveys the international debate on the “green GDP”. The first section describes the basic rules and definitions of national economic accounting and the meaning of GDP against the NDP are explained. The second section presents the historical context of the development of national income estimates of 1886-1940, led to the creation of GNP by the Department of Commerce of the United States in the 1940s. The third and final section is currently standardizing complaints made to take into account external economic activity rates (eg, services of owner-occupied housing and the government), and analyzes the debate over the costs of natural resources and environmental quality.
