In the last thirty years have seen a considerable variety of market capitalism not only as a very effective form of economic organization, but also as the best suited to the diversity of human needs better. In large and complex companies, an increasing number of theoretical and empirical research suggests, however, that the existence of competitive markets based on solid institutional foundations. This paper appropriate for the CEO role, if any, in maintaining these conditions for market capitalism is analyzed.
