Mabe: Learning to be a Multinational Case Solution & Answer

Mexican unit manufacturer Mabe, has evolved rapidly after the sale of almost half of its stake in a large multinational company in early 1990. The manufacturer was able to dominate the market of goods of Mexico and into other Latin American countries. Just before the 2008 financial crisis, the manufacturer has formed a joint venture with a Spanish company and the entry into the Russian market, but failed. The manufacturer faces a dilemma: Should I stop the Russian joint venture with its Spanish partner and re-focus on other emerging markets? You must have a local manufacturer?
