The leaders are basically the change agents. They embrace the change and look for better opportunities in the existing way of the organizational performance. Managers role in organization

Manager are different from leaders. They are the ones that create goals to have a certain vision of the company, which is created by the leaders. In addition, managers are status quos,i.e. they remain stuck to the usual work and structure of the organization, managing or even elevating the level, within the same domains and structure of organization.

In addition to this, managers tends to control the risk and in many situation restricts the risk taken by the leaders in attaining creation opportunity.

Also, these manager have basically short term approaches within the organization such as reaching certain short term goals such as sales or profits, making them use the proven skills and already adopted behaviors of the other managers in the past or in other organization. Lastly, managers build systems and processes and define the trajectory to attain the goals through the processes.

 

Roles of management and leadership

Management and leadership are present in an organization side by side, however, different organizations have different leadership roles and management style that makes them different in terms of operations and management.

In certain situations within the organization, for example, implementing a change, the leadership role is to inculcate the change while bringing people on the same board. Under such a situation, the transformational leadership is pursued by the leaders, to help people understand the change. In doing so, they develop an open communication platform, inspirational motivation to uplift the individuals’ morale and make them understand the change, hence, inculcating it effectively in the organization.

On the other hand, in a situation of expanding the organizational functions, the role of management may shift from managing the existing people into developing new processes so as to get aligned with the change………….
