Jabwood, a trading company of wood with four branches in Lebanon family ownership Jabado plans international expansion into new markets – especially Saudi Arabia and China – to offset the decline in revenues. This case study examines the macroeconomic environment in Lebanon, China and Saudi Arabia, as well as the timber industry in these countries. The characteristics of a successful international expansion are taken into account. In addition to identifying the criteria of attractiveness for each country, the case requires a decision on a strategy of entering the market to ensure a successful expansion of the company.
