International Oncology Services Private Limited Case Solution & Answer

International Oncology Services Private Limited had initially planned to begin operating as an institution that provides care for patients with independent cancer in Delhi, India, but the escalating costs of real estate, combined with the capital-intensive nature of the company was a major obstacle. In addition, the period of gestation in a high greenfield project led company founders to think about an alternative model: a partnership based on a hub-and-spoke with a supplier of health care established in the city of Jaipur. It was a success. The company could leverage the infrastructure and hospitals partner hospital, while adding their own medical, technological and research experience to provide services at a cost effective price. Although the company has grown rapidly in the early years, the continued success was far from certain. Management must decide to develop with one partner or to adopt a multi-stakeholder approach to take the business to the next level of growth.
