International AIDS Vaccine Initiative Case Solution & Answer

Dedicated to accelerating the development of a safe and effective vaccine available, HIV prevention, the International Initiative AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) has launched approaches structures of perverse incentives that have impeded progress towards vaccines AIDS and other diseases that mainly affect poor people in tropical countries. As an intermediate goal nonprofit, IAVI partners from different perspectives and motivations of nonprofit sectors, industry, government and scientific research in relation to vaccine development. IAVI has played several roles: honest broker, integrator and transmitter of knowledge in research on AIDS vaccines, advocate for AIDS vaccines in the national and international levels, and the coordinator and manager of the initiatives and the development of research. In 2008, IAVI has invested more in their own laboratories and research infrastructure, moving a step forward in the development of vaccines and clinical research organizations.
