Harvard Management Co. and Inflation-Protected Bonds Case Solution & Answer

In March 2000, the Board of Directors of the Harvard Management Company (HMC) has approved major changes in the policy portfolio to determine the long-term endowment for Harvard allocation policies. These changes included a significant reduction in the allocation to U.S. equities and nominal bonds of the United States and a major investment in new titles against inflation-protected U.S. Treasury (TIPS).
