Greylock Partners Case Solution & Answer

In 1965, William left Elfers Research and Development of the American Society of Georges Doriot Greylock to start his own venture capital. During the three decades that followed, followed by a series of eight associations Greylock, during which Elfers never lost a general or seen a colleague leaving to start his own venture capital partner. In addition, each of the investors in the first fund of Greylock participated in all of the following associations. Elfers was one of the early pioneers of the limited partnership structure of modern venture capital company Greylock organized as a series of partnerships, each joint capital investment with its partners and sponsors committed for many limited lives. Greylock was against a long historical tradition of New England Financial, at least since the nineteenth century innovation. In Elfers essence helped create a new organizational approach to risk capital through mechanisms that profoundly reflect the financial capital of New England culture.
