Four Products: Predicting Diffusion (2011) Case Solution & Answer

An update event “Four products.” The 2011 version includes; slices of peanut butter, artificial ground tracks for thoroughbred racing, interactive tablets running shoes and wake evolution. These four products are the basis for the assessment of new product adoption drivers. In particular, one of the key tasks in marketing innovations is to forecast demand and the rate of diffusion of these products. And if we can speculate on the extent and rate of diffusion of a particular product, it is useful to compare and contrast between the diffusion of products. This allows drivers to focus on product features or influencing the distribution of the product, make a product one star and another dog. More specifically, looking through the products back on the things that are lost in the discussion of a single product. Note that this case is often used with HBS No. 505-075, “Note on Innovation Diffusion; Rogers Five factors” that can be distributed to the case after the case has been taught.
