By the time of summer 2015, Flipkart Online Services Pvt. Ltd. of Bangalore, India, had become a noteworthy player in Indian e-commerce manufacturing. The association began its on-line operations with an inventory model, focusing on novels, but grown to a market version with films, music and mobile phones. Its trend retail portal site Myntra, acquired in 2014, shut its site businesses on May 1, 2015, and moved to a program- platform to benefit from the growing usage of smartphones by the Indian public for purchases and Internet searches. Though it experienced some initial losses, the parent company declared in July that it had even be moving to a program-only platform in September, becoming the first ecommerce business on the planet to embrace this strategy on this kind of scale.
