This case describes Lake Nona, a 7,000-acre residential and bunch research in central Florida Institute, then its procedure and invention culture, and Lake Nona, and organization behind the preparation of this and government new eco friendly community. Emphasis is put on the institutional cooperation and government choices behind Lake Nona’s “Medical City” part.
Five years after development started, the website boasts a research bunch which has succeeded in bringing residential interest and scientific ability, and has put in place a collaborative governance structure intended to support innovation, trust-building and communication. When the president of the Institute is requested to determine who the next renter in Medical City should be, he considers what sort of procedure would permit them to grow going forward. Focuses on: 1) the disposition of cooperation in the creation of new enterprises; 2) the managerial challenges of arbitration between hierarchical organization procedures and consensus-driven construction; 3) the product development process of a developer in a nascent business.
