During the last decade, Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC) has developed a unique set of advantages and cultural facilities of its employees, including a beautiful residential campus, known as the name of the house (LQ), and an award winning International Pre School -kindergarten through twelfth grade that by 2012 more than 2,000 students enrolled. These services have enabled the company to attract and retain high quality employees with low wages, but the company has recently experienced some financial difficulties, reducing the number of new living spaces available, and questions about the relevance was a semiconductor company to be running a school.
