In 1970, Xerox had an extremely progressive action plan. However, once they hired black workers; they workers face serious difficulties because of discrimination and their exclusion from the informal networks of information, support and mentoring the other salespeople. The black workers reacted by creating seven independent support groups across the United States of America.
The responsibilities of these support groups was to develop the abilities of black groups so that they can get promotion. In addition, they are working as a pressure group and they want to change the policies of the Xerox Corp. Xerox had worries that a national organization is being formed by the groups in 1974. Students must determine the best way to react to this scenario that is potentially dangerous.
