The Director of Operations of the Company Avalanche faced important decisions. The company is experiencing considerable difficulty in matching supply to demand. As a result, the company has been overproduction and had to sell the surplus at a loss. At a recent meeting of the Board, Vice President of Marketing reported a new snowboard product, the Racer avalanche. He presented his justification for the introduction of a new product for skiing this time highlighting the growth in sales of skis in the last five years. The meeting of the Board of Directors held with the Director General to instruct the Director of Operations to develop an analysis and report its findings to the Board next week.
