One of the best ways to learn about case studies and their relevance to an academic setting is to do one yourself. Once you understand how to do it well, you’ll quickly get the hang of case studies and other case studies that are very similar to yours, and you’ll understand how they work.

I have found an example of a case study and solution to be quite useful in my teaching of an online course I teach. It has been helpful for students as well as teachers.

I teach a course on search engine optimization. At the end of the first week, I assigned each student two assignments, one for a thesis topic and one for a project topic. Both assignments were based on a “case study” in a case study solution, which was a different case study that was not in the course.

The thesis topic for each assignment was an essay and the project was a group discussion. The assignments required that the student use the example of case study and solution to solve a particular problem in the case study (a computer case, for example).

A little past the deadline for submissions, two students came to me with problems that were much more complicated than the assignments were. They both argued that it would be impossible to use an example of case study and solution as a real life example.

I asked them to do some research and think about it for a day or two, just to make sure that they understood what they were agreeing to. After that, they both agreed that they needed to know the basis for their decision.

After they started working on the research, they both explained to me that they were worried that if they didn’t work hard on the project they would be too tired to do the discussion that they needed to do. So they agreed to spend the time they needed to do the discussion.

The two agreed that the time spent in completing the necessary research was actually more valuable than the time they used to work on the project. The conclusion was that they were unable to solve the problem they needed to solve because they could not use an example of case study and solution as a problem-solving example. They ended up giving up on the project.

So the student who did not complete the required research was not able to complete the group discussion. He/she couldn’t prove that using an example of a case study and solution as a problem-solving example worked.

The student who completed the research and used the example of case study and solution did show that it worked, but he/she only proved that the three things needed to work: the problem, the definition of the problem and the definition of the solution. What made this example of a case study and solution so useful to me is that the student who did not finish the project was able to prove the three things that the two who did finish were unable to prove.

The student who finished the project showed that the problem and the definition of the problem are both needed for the problem to be solved. The student who didn’t finish the project showed that it would be impossible to prove the definitions of the problem and the solution. The solution is the thing we want to solve.

So when it comes to presenting a solution to a problem, the solution has to be able to prove itself. An example of case study and solution can prove it. But we need to prove it.
