In Taiwan, AIC Systems is a producer of printed circuit boards that is situated in Taichung. Mostly, they produce video cards and motherboards for personal computers. The business of in-house design and development has been able to improve due to the long-term relationships with its customers. The company determines to diversify its portfolio in order to include consumer electronics with a specific focus on cellular technology.
The purpose is to go from producing parts in order to develop the company’s own line of branded consumer electronics for other computer firms. The new “netbook” marketplace offers a chance for AIC Systems to design and produce a branded merchandise in the mobile electronics industry.
